Latest Updates from Our Project:

Infernal Rooms - Episode 4 -
almost 5 years ago – Wed, Jun 19, 2019 at 02:41:22 AM

Hello, Magisters!

Welcome to this long-awaited update! Finally after explorations of Dungeons, Marriages, and Honeymoons, we can resume with the updates dedicated to the BRW II wave with a tighter frequency, and obviously, we pick up where we left off in April, continuing to explore the Inferno rooms dedicating ourselves to the Blue Rooms!

Bolgia dei Maghi (aka Circle of Mages)

This Circle hosts the souls of all those who in life have arrogated to themselves the right to aspire to have powers that instead compete only with God, and for this reason, it is obviously very feared by all those who frequent the Black Rose Lodge.

In this room, the Mages souls wander with their heads distorted backward so that they can remember for eternity how great and blasphemous was their ambition and thirst for power.

The power of this room is similar to that of the Room of Mirrors in the base game and will allow you to copy the effect of another room in the lodge, with the only difference that each time it is activated, Lucifer will gain 1 PowerPoint.

As it happens for the Room of Mirrors also, the Bolgia dei Maghi will prove to be one of the most useful rooms for the Magisters, who will, however, have to use his powers wisely since giving Lucifer Power Points will only increase the difficulty of a game of Inferno.

Cerchio dei Traditori (aka Circle of Traitors)

The deepest Circle of Hell accommodates those who betrayed the people who trusted them, the most abject crime of all.

The Traitors are immersed in the frozen lake called Cocito, and if this were not enough, the cold air is lashed by the wind generated by the beating of Lucifer's wings in person!

In this room, the Mages will be able to steal 1 Power Point from the other nearby Mages, but each time they do, they will also suffer a wound from Lucifer.

You will love this room if you want to set your strategy, even trying to win the Inferno game individually, but if on the contrary, you are doing teamwork completely, you will notice right away that manipulating the Power Points of your group of Mages will be useful to get to the victory. In both cases, you will have to be careful of Lucifer, always ready to take a feast of Mages wounds.

Bolgia dei Barattieri (aka Cirlce of Barrators)

In the pit of boiling pitch that occupies this room, the Barrators are immersed or rather those who in life took advantage of their public offices to increase their profits and accumulate such great wealth on the shoulders of those who should have governed. To the watch of these scammers, there is a particularly cruel breed of demons called Farfarello. These demons stand guard and harass the damned with their spears fluttering above the pit without getting their hands dirty.

A Mage in this room will be able to summon a Farfarello under his control: this annoying Demon has rather poor statistics, but every time it attacks, the controlling player can Convert Stability in the same room of the Demon.

This ability can be useful on many occasions for the more aggressive Magisters to steal tasty Pointsfrom other more... "destroyers" players. As with all the demons of Inferno, its controller can suffer a wound to make it act as it is summoned.

I Wave final shipping

As you know the I wave will soon be sent to all the backers who had not optioned the double shipment. As you may recall, this news was given in the latest update and was taken due to the lengthening of the II wave delivery times, so as not to leave 80% of backers dry-mouthed for too many months.

We can confirm that shipments from the various hubs (the same ones from which the boxes have already arrived at their destination in these months) will start in July. We are waiting for them to confirm the date on which the shipments will start, but we are confident that during the summer you will probably have BRW in your homes and you will be ready to cast Fireballs without remorse to make Marco Montanaro proud of you!

Damaged/Missing parts replacement

Unfortunately, on this front, we have had some difficulties, and at the moment we do not have a number of goods such as to satisfy all the requests that have arrived. However, in the meantime, we have finally sent the substitutions we had available.

Among the components that we have not been able to send to everyone there are the miniatures of Medusa (Chrono) and Marco (Hidden Thorne), but next month we will receive new boxes to provide for the missing replacements and those that will arrive, and we will try to finish the shipments by the end of the summer. We ask you for some patience and feedback to help us give you a better service :)

That's all for this week, see you next week for the last trip through the Inferno rooms!

And what will await us later?

Stay tuned!

Wave 2 cards!
almost 5 years ago – Sat, May 18, 2019 at 02:40:02 AM

 Hi everyone,

this will be a short but intense update, in fact we’re introducing all the cards of the schools of magic in the second wave:

All 2nd Wave schools of magic!

Call to action, help us to find typo, grammar errors or symbol mistake!

We are sorry to inform you that the second wave is running late, in part because the first wave took a little longer than expected, and in part because we’re waiting for the translated files for the language packages, and without those we can’t start production of the printed materials.

Thankfully the papers and cardboards materials are the fastest to produce, so we don’t expect the delay to be longer than a few months or so. Unfortunately we can’t be any more specific because it all depends on when we receive the translated files.

As is standard practice here at LMS, to make up for it we’ve launched two initiatives:

all wave 1 boxes will be delivered between July and August, including to backers that opted for a single shipment, in an effort to minimise delays and also in view of the positive feedback the game is receiving.

Those who paid for a double shipment will nonetheless have received the materials about 5 months earlier than the others.

To make up for the delay, we'll give you for free a new Forgotten spell, in the hope that it will ease the wait.

The card will be published soon, stay tuned.

That’s all for now, see you in two weeks with another update.

Infernal Rooms - Episode 3 -
about 5 years ago – Sun, Apr 28, 2019 at 01:53:25 AM

Hello, Magisters!

Our journey through the Inferno’s rooms continues: the hell is now unleashed and out of control in the Black Rose Lodge! Will our Mages be able to survive the Green Rooms?

Selva Oscura (aka Dark Forest)

This dream forest is the only room which is not really part of Inferno, but placed immediately outside it; precisely for this reason, despite its unnatural feature, it is still full of Lucifer’s evil energies, and the Beasts that inhabit it will let you pass just because they know your destiny…

Selva Oscura
Selva Oscura

Mages that activate this room can lower their Threat Value by 2 points and raise another Mage’s Threat Value by 2 points. The Threat Value will be a vital factor in your Inferno games, in fact, it determines which Mage will be attacked by Lucifer and his Demons, and being able to manipulate it will give you huge advantages whether you decide to work as a team or face Inferno in a more selfish way. This room can be useful on many occasions!

Cerchio dei Golosi (aka Circle of Gluttony)

Those who have been guilty of the sin of Gluttony in life, now have been relegated to this terrible and smelly Circle. They are immersed in mud that emanates poisonous fumes, plus they are tormented by an endless rain of snow and hail. Cerberus, in his demonic form, lacerates them with his claws, then it waits for their meat to put back together to start this eternal and painful torture again.

Cerchio dei Golosi
Cerchio dei Golosi

In this room, the Mages will be able to summon an old acquaintance, Cerberus in his “Infernal Knight” form. This Cerberus’ version is slower than its counterpart in the base game, but every time the Infernal Knight attacks, it will heal its own wounds or the ones of the Mage whose controlling it.

Also, the room allows the Mage who have summoned it, to have a Lucifer wound inflicted to activate Cerberus immediately. Like other rooms with a similar effect, the advantage of being able to activate the Evocation immediately is truly remarkable and is always worth the expense of 1 damage.

Girone dei Bestemmiatori (aka Circle of Blasphemy)

Those who have had offended God and the Saints in life, now have been thrown into this Circle, condemned to stand prone on the boiling sand of the desert while an endless rain of fire torments them for eternity!

Girone dei Bestemmiatori
Girone dei Bestemmiatori

A Mage who activates this room can unleash a rain of fire on all models in the place and in all those adjacent to it, inflicting 2 damages to them all.

Such a terrible effect will allow you to use one of BRW’s widest area effects and the damage you can inflict will be devastating. Think about attracting here as many demons (and mages, why not?) as possible and then activate this effect to see them succumb and give you valuable points!

Of course, this room can be used in many ways, for both team play and to gain some ground on your opponents!

Ok, this walk into the room of hell is over, but don't leave: we have other mews to share!

I Wave shipping status

As said in the last update, at the moment all the shipments from the 1st wave orders have been sent, so whoever has not received the package yet, will get it shortly.

If nothing has arrived, please contact us on our support page!

Also, remember everything we said in this and in the previous updates only concerns the backers who have chosen the shipment in two waves!

II Wave Production

The production work of the II wave is progressing at full speed: the miniatures are in the production phase, but after the feedback, we had on the I wave material we are spending a lot of time for the revision of the paper material of the Sator Box (SGs) and the expansions.

Furthermore, as announced we are preparing the revised material to replace the ones from the I wave, we will soon give you a complete list of the elements we are correcting together with Marco!

In the next weeks, we will also define the production timing more precisely, for now, be sure that we will inform you promptly, and we will continue with our weekly updates until the end of production!

That's all for this week Magisters, see you the next week!

Infernal Rooms - Episode 2 -
about 5 years ago – Thu, Apr 18, 2019 at 01:24:42 AM

Hi Magisters

today we go on with the exploration of the dark rooms of Inferno, after our first trip, where we visited the Red rooms, this week we will take you to discover the dark Gray rooms.

Antinferno (aka Vestibule)

This area is located between the Inferno gate and the Acheron river and is inhabited by the Ignavi, those who in life, out of cowardice, did not take sides neither for good nor for evil ... among these there are also angels who took no place in any faction during the Lucifer rebellion.

Because of their cowardice, these souls are condemned to run towards a banner they will never reach, while large bees and wasps sting them all over the body.

In a game of Inferno, you can activate this room to deal 2 damage to a target in an adjacent room. Two extra damage during activation can be precious especially to give coup de grace or simply place wounds for the purposes of the killing ranking. It may seem a little power, but it is not; also this is one of the few rooms of Inferno to not even inflict disadvantages to those who activate it!

Circolo degli Eretici (aka Circle of the Heretics)

In this Room, heretics are punished or those who denied the Church and who worshiped other doctrines, cults, and sects. As their bodies were burned at the stake of the earthly courts, their souls are doomed to burn forever in flaming sepulchers... definitely not a beautiful circle!

Activating this room a Mage, listening to the predictions of the damned, will be able to look at the next 2 Lucifer Action cards, and suffering 1 wound from him, he will be able to put them back on top of the deck in the order he prefers.

This room allows a check on the actions of Lucifer not indifferent, knowing his actions will help you both as a group and as an individual, being able to take advantage of Lucifer's moves to turn the game to your side!

Girone dei  Suicidi (aka Circle of the Suicides)

Those who have voluntarily renounced their human nature are here transformed into trees and are continually tormented by Harpies, half-woman, and half-bird, who with their talons break their branches, causing them great pain...

A Mage who activates this room will be able to summon a Harpy under his control, and by taking 1 wound, he will be able to make it act immediately.

The Harpies are very fast but frail Demons (movement 3 and 2 wounds) and taken individually they do not inflict much damage, but their unique ability allows them to inflict more damage for each other Evocation in the room they are in, up to a maximum of 3. A Mage very oriented on the Evocations and who knows how to move the Harpies wisely can launch devastating attacks exploiting this hard-to-handle but rewarding Demon!

And even this journey through the Inferno rooms is over, next week we will continue the exploration but in the meantime continue reading, we must tell you other important things!

I Wave shipping status

At the moment according to the reports of our partners, all the shipments of the I wave orders are finished, so who has not yet received his package, you will receive it shortly.

If too many days should pass, and still nothing has arrived, please contact us as always on our support page!

The last update has generated some confusion among you, so I wanted to remind you that everything that was said in the previous update and in this only concerns the backers who have chosen the expedition in two waves!

If you do not remember which shipping option you chose (actually it may have been a while since you made a choice) I am attaching two useful images to trace the type of shipment you chose.

in this case, you chose the unique wave shipping so you will receive BRW this summer.

As our backers, you are entitled to a $ 5 discount on any pledge and EB, all you need to do is pledge with the same account and email address you used for BRW (that is mandatory to obtain the discount)!

Infernal Rooms - Episode 1 -
about 5 years ago – Sat, Apr 13, 2019 at 03:17:32 AM

Hi Magisters!

With this update, we will begin to analyze Inferno's contents in more detail starting with the new rooms in which you will have to venture to beat the terrible Lucifer.

As we did during the KS campaign in each update, we will examine the rooms of a single color, and today we will start with the infernal color par excellence... the Red!

Important note! Given the setting inspired by Dante's Divine Comedy, we decided to leave the names of the rooms in Italian to immerse you even more in this fascinating setting.

Porta dell'Inferno (Gate of Hell)

We could not start except the Gate of Hell! This dark and lugubrious cave is the crossing point of every soul destined for hell. There are as many ways as there are many roads that lead sinners to end up in the worst of places!

During a game, you can activate it to draw three cards from your Grimoire and choose two to hold in your hand (the discarded one will go into your Memories), but then you will suffer a wound from Lucifer. This room, for a meager tribute of blood, will allow you to thicken your hand, and can be very useful if you have based your deck on schools that do not let you draw many cards, such as Destruction or Transmutation, but it also offers exciting combos for those schools that allow you to control your Grimoire and Memories.

The Gate of the Hell is waiting for you...
The Gate of the Hell is waiting for you...

Circolo degli Iracondi (Circle of Iracondi)

In this putrid Circle live the souls who have succumbed to their Ira, they are immersed in the mud and in the unhealthy fumes of the Styx swamp... pay attention to where you put your feet when you enter!

Activating this room, you will yield to your instinct, and you will be able to move by one and attack another Mage who will re-inflict a wound to you immediately. This room will surely be loved by Transmutation Mages who, once powered or turned into an Abomination, will be able to exploit their physical attack once more per Turn. Also, remember that Lucifer is considered a Mage for targeting rules!

Do not give in to your Ira
Do not give in to your Ira

Girone degli Omicidi (Circle of Homicides)

Immersed in the blood-red waters of Flegetonte, the murders live their eternal punishment tormented by the Centaurs, who will strike them with their disks if they try to emerge from the blood!

A Mage who activates this room will be able to summon a Centaur, and by taking one wound, he will be able to let the Demon act immediately!

The Centaurs are one of the most interesting Summon of this expansion: they move 3, and they have 3 wounds, but their attack (2) allows them to hit all the models in a room.

Do you think they are strong? Using Demonology will there be to have fun with the Centaurs? Well, you have not seen what they can do when Lucifer controls them!

The right punishment, for the worst sin
The right punishment, for the worst sin

For this week it's all about Inferno, next week we'll continue with 3 new rooms.

But don't stop reading, we have other news to give you!

Shipping Status

At the moment shipments are still in progress all over the world.

In Europe, they finally started a few days ago, and our partner informs us that they plan to finish departures by the beginning of next week, so still, a little patience and the Rose War will arrive in your homes!

To date, USA Backers should have received their copy, but we have some of you who report that nothing has arrived yet. If you are an American backer and have not yet received BRW, open a ticket here, and we will provide you with your tracking number, and we will follow the evolution of the situation with you until you receive your box!

Finally for Australia, Asia and the rest of the world, even here the shipments have finally begun, but we do not have a definitive report for the timing of their completion. Probably it will arrive the next week :).

Errata and corrections

You know we care a lot about the quality of our products, but unfortunately, things don't always go the way we hope!

We have taken note of the errors that have been reported to us, and we are preparing, together with Marco, an updated version of the Rulebook and the Codex Arcanum  which will be downloadable for free from our website.

As for the cards that checked for errors, we decided to reprint them with the second wave, so you will find them in the Sator Box.

We are still compiling the complete list of errors, but soon we will be able to give you the full list of the cards that will be corrected with the II wave.

Given this initial response we decided to take more time to check the material of the II wave to avoid as much as possible getting you to receive incorrect material, so we can assure you that we will pay more attention to all the texts of SGs and add-ons.

In the meantime, we are collecting all your requests for replacement of the broken/missing material, and once a complete list has been drawn up, we'll start with the shipments.

Now that's all guys! See you next week for a new update!
